MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • Lead multiple project management efforts to achieve excellence in project planning and execution.
  • Implement project management philosophy and utilization of project management planning software across the organization.
  • Conduct pipeline planning, financial, and resource modeling to prioritize projects and ensure that resources are allocated accordingly.
  • Acquire and implement new tools and establish work processes to enable the teams to reduce frustration, bureaucracy, improve communication and decision making and increase focus on the critical tasks.

This is an ONSITE role based out of Temecula, CA

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Executes multiple high quality, integrated cross functional project plans including development of project charters, schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, issues and resources to meet project goals.

Incorporates technical, resource, operational, and regulatory requirements into project plans.

Defines the business and financial results expected from a project.

Develops implementation plans, conducts risk assessments, and develops and implements contingency plans to allow for and accommodate unforeseen events and changes in strategy.

Develops appropriately detailed, cross-functional, realistic, and challenging timelines that include resource requirements and buffers.

Ensures that project will effectively integrate with existing competing projects and strategies to ensure that both short- and long-term business goals are attained.

Coordinates the assimilation of disparate information from multiple sources, analyzes trends, adjusts results and draws inferences.

Is responsible and accountable for achieving results, where results are expressed in terms of compliance with Design Control and/or Change Control policies, quality, time, scope, and cost.

Primary point of contact for various strategic projects and interface with functional managers on resource issues and project sponsor on project issues.

Leads Management Reviews and project meetings.

Develops and manages agendas, minutes and follow up action items.

Facilitates cross functional communication between R&D, Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, IT, Operations (including Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Supply Chain).

Sets interrelated tasks that culminate in clearly defined business results.

For new product development projects, the business results will typically include the launch of one or more products.

Differences across the levels of Project Manager are dependent upon increasing project management complexity and increasing level of expected independence.

Each higher level incorporates the expectations for the lower levels.

Manages multiple complex large projects.

Increases the efficiency of the organization and reduces time-to-market for the new products/projects through utilization of dynamic planning and what-if scenario analysis across all projects.

Provides an effective tool to the senior management to estimate the resource capacity and load and make informed decisions regarding resource capacity adjustments or re-allocation.

Reduces missing deadlines and improves achieving critical milestones on time and within the expected quality.

Accountable for managing finances and resources (direct and matrix) assigned to project regarding project tasks.

Include mentoring and providing feedback to team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Masters Degree ( 18 years)
  • MBA advanced degree preferred

Experience/Background

  • Minimum 10 years
  • Project management, preferably in related areas (Operations, Vendor Management, R&D, Supply Chain) Medical Equipment Experience required
  • Extensive finance and budgetary experience.
  • Extensive Customer and Supplier interaction and experience.
  • Excellent analytical and communications skills.
  • Extensive experience in leading multi-organizational environments
  • Ability to work with all levels of Management.
  • Ability to manage and motivate both direct and matrix teams.
  • Proven experience with MS Office and MS Project a requirement.
