Main Purpose and Major Challenges of the Role

Outerknown, Firewire Surfboards and Slater Design is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and collaborative Project Manager to help drive operational excellence across our marketing and brand organization. This role sits at the intersection of creative development, go-to-market execution, and systems/process managementโ€”ensuring that campaigns, assets, and cross-functional deliverables move efficiently and effectively from concept to launch.

You will be the connective tissue across Marketing, Creative, Ecommerce, Wholesale, Product, and International teamsโ€”building scalable processes, managing timelines, owning our digital asset ecosystem, and ensuring flawless delivery of go-to-market tools and assets to internal teams and external partners.

This is an ideal role for someone who loves building order from complexity, thrives in fast-paced environments, and has a passion for operational rigor paired with high emotional intelligence and the ability to mange multiple priorities.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Project & Process Management

  • Own and manage the end-to-end marketing and creative workflowโ€”from intake and prioritization through launch and post-mortem.
  • Build and maintain clear project timelines, calendars, and cross-functional workflows across seasonal and campaign initiatives.
  • Lead weekly project status meetings and ensure accountability across teams and deadlines.
  • Identify process gaps and proactively create scalable systems, SOPs, and operating rhythms to improve efficiency and visibility.
  • Support resource planning and help prioritize work across multiple teams and initiatives.
  • Streamline asset management workflows to improve cross-functional accessibility, ensuring teams can locate, share and utilize creative resources within the DAM.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Go-to-Market Operations

  • Support development and execution of Outerknown & Firewire go-to-market process across seasonal launches, campaigns, and product stories.
  • Manage the creation of GTM calendars in XLS and Asana.
  • Ensure all teams submit briefs in a timely manner and with enough detail.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all go-to-market materials to key stakeholders including Wholesale, International, Retail, and Ecommerce teams.
  • Manage distribution of launch assets, product storytelling tools, campaign toolkits, and sales enablement materials to regional and channel partners.
  • Maintain launch calendars and milestone checkpoints to ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Lead the monthly go-to-market meeting with a 30-60-90 view approach.
  • Build a post mortem review for all data and qualitative feedback for future learnings.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Creative Development Support

  • Partner closely with the Creative team to manage timelines, reviews, approvals, and production milestones.
  • Support briefing, routing, and approvals for photo/video, campaign creative, retail assets, and digital deliverables.
  • Help ensure creative work is delivered on time, on brand, and aligned to business priorities.
  • Leverage Asana, our project management tool, to the fullest. Ensuring itโ€™s organized in a way thatโ€™s easy to use for briefing, reviews and file delivery for all parties.
  • Own framework and compliance of required approvals before launch.
  • Serve as the central point interdepartmentally to speed up briefing and asset delivery.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a key liaison between Marketing, Creative, Product, Ecommerce, Wholesale, International, and external partners.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of brand activations
  • Support the CMO in marketing department meetings
  • Improve communication flow and ensure stakeholders have visibility into timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Bring operational discipline while maintaining flexibility in a fast-moving environment.
  • Trade Marketing Support. Working with 3rd party vendors on costing and production of materials, budget and on-time asset delivery.

Maintain strong communication on requested assets for retail and wholesale partners.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, marketing operations, creative operations, or go-to-market management, preferably in fashion, retail, or consumer brands.
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional marketing and creative workflows.
