Job description

Description:

Takkion, a dynamic player in the renewable energy sector, is actively seeking a motivated Field Engineer to contribute to our team’s success. As a Field Engineer at Takkion you will have the opportunity to work with outstanding leadership and field teams, playing a vital role in managing projects in wind and solar. As a Field Engineer, you will assist with pre-construction efforts, collaboration with stakeholders, and supporting the site management teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Support pre-construction efforts by maintaining project site plans, inclusive of wind turbine layout, preliminary electrical collection cable and access road siting, and other balance of plant considerations.
  • Manage submittal and RFI Processes
  • Organize and distribute project design and engineering documents.
  • Execute project-specific tasks for team mobilization, including advanced research on living arrangements and turnover binder preparation.
  • Contribute to Pre-Mobilization Kickoff meetings.
  • Coordinate short-form subcontracts with local entities for power, trailers, housing, and subcontractors.
  • Draft subcontracts and purchase agreements.
  • Utilize the database of SOP’s, quality documents and prepare meetings.
  • Lead quality assurance and control processes outlined in the project execution plan.
  • Manage inventory processes upon material arrival, including inspection, offloading and storage.
  • Coordinate inspections and punch list finals.
  • Assist the project manager and superintendents with material and equipment management.
  • Manage coordination drawings and production logs.
  • Track safety and quality incidents.
  • Compile turnover documentation for transfer to customer.
  • Assist in closing contract documents with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Support final inspections and punch list processes with customer.
  • Provide periodic updates of the submittal register to customer.


Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related technical discipline or related training in this position, Or 3+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry.
  • Previous internship experience is favorable.
  • Basic understanding of construction law and business practices
  • Physical ability to climb WTGs as needed for data entry and QA/QC documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects at a time.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in renewable energy.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with multiple interests and backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with Procore is preferred
  • Team oriented with strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
