Job description

As a member of the Global Business Operations team, you will focus on the end-to-end execution, customized scoping, and cross-functional alignment required to move complex hardware projects from early-stage sales to full mass production. You will act as a critical bridge between pre-sales opportunities and operational delivery, eliminating friction across custom engineering, production, and customer onboarding. This is a full-time position designed to ensure high-value industrial computing solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned for maximum profitability.

The Global Business Operations team is a collaborative group dedicated to delivering an outstanding customer experience through high-quality and high-velocity execution. It is the engine that accelerates OnLogic’s growth, balancing technical value with measurable financial results.

We believe in the power of in-person collaboration and the benefits of a strong workplace community. Therefore, this role requires an onsite presence at either our South Burlington, VT or Cary, NC office. We encourage candidates who are able to relocate or comfortably commute to apply.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Collaborate with Sales & Sales Engineering during the presales phase to assess system configuration, project feasibility, estimate timelines, and identify potential risks.
  • Lead the drafting of detailed Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring clear project definitions, deliverables, milestones, and SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
  • Manage the internal process to align project deliverables with operational capacity.
  • Serve as the operational point of contact for customers from Presales to Mass Production.
  • Secure approvals for project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans, action item list, tracking milestones and dependencies via project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smarsheet).
  • Facilitate seamless cross-functional communication between Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Technical Project Management, Legal, Supply Chain, and Production teams.
  • Lead weekly project status meetings, capturing action items, and driving accountability across departments.
  • Manage resource allocation, ensuring cross-functional teams are aligned with project timeline and customer expectations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential bottlenecks, and devise contingency plans.
  • Monitor project budgets, tracking billable hours and resource utilization to protect profit margins.
  • Communicate any changes to the customer's project regarding timeline, budget, and scope to ensure an excellent customer experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management experience delivering complex, custom hardware projects, ideally within the industrial, rugged, or edge AI sector.
  • Proven operational background in Sales, Business Operations, or cross-functional delivery environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with key systems, including CRMs (Salesforce or HubSpot), ERP platforms (Odoo preferred), and modern project management tools like Jira and Smartsheet.
  • Exceptional executive-level communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of presenting to C-suite leadership and navigating technical customer escalations.
  • Proactive approach to risk management, timeline execution, and cross-departmental accountability with a strong sense of individual ownership.
  • PMP or comparable project management certification preferred, along with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000. We determine final compensation based on discussions with applicants and their experience in similar roles.
