Job description

OVERVIEW OF POSITION:

Responsibility for overseeing all aspects of Sales & Operations Planning including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Supply Point Coordination, and Inventory Mgmt.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:

Management โ€“ 15%

  • Manage Procurement and Supply Chain processes.
  • Responsible for management of all inventories.
  • Manage carrier performance program.
  • Achieve desired economies of scale by consolidating vendors, suppliers and resources.
  • Create individual and departmental development plans.
  • Develop planning group vision and recruit new personnel.
  • Liaise with Accounts Payable Department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, as necessary for the business with the supplier.

Sales & Operations Planning โ€“ 25%

  • Develop and maintain process for material forecasting
  • Create and maintain balance between supply and demand.
  • Create, interpret, and report on Key Performance Indicators.
  • Analyze and outline deviations from targets and plans (gap analyses).
  • Provide input as to product enhancements and/or new product development.

Demand Planning โ€“ 15%

  • Responsible for creating/maintaining demand plan review.
  • Responsible for aligning the demand plan with the S&OP outcome.
  • Challenge input from market intelligence in forecast demand.
  • Monitor macro trends in supplier and contract base and implement plans to react.
  • Oversee corporate reporting.
  • Responsible for SKU classification in demand segmentation.

Supply Planning โ€“ 15%

  • Meet service level framework agreement with suppliers.
  • Implement procurement strategy and policies.
  • Ensure visibility of forward supply and inventory plan.
  • Manage excess stock, minimize write offs.
  • Maintenance of the ISO Qualified Supplier Evaluation Program.
  • Monitor capacity planning.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions, approve and issues purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
  • Manage phasing-in and phasing-out of products.
  • Set long term strategy based on consumption trends.
  • Oversee the notice, registration, scheduling and requests for the import of product portfolio.

Projects โ€“ 30%

  • Initiate and roll out SOP best practices and manage SOP enhancement projects.
  • Identify and agree upon supply chain improvements projects.
  • Develop creative analytic reporting for forecasting and inventory management.
  • Continually develop expertise to support growth for new projects.
  • Assist in performing distribution optimization study.
  • Develop inventory deployment capability.
