This is a temporary, 2-year position.
The Project Manager provides administrative and operational support for the implementation of the Spectrum of Care (SOC) curricular initiative, including the Companion Animal Teaching Clinic (CATC) and associated educational initiatives within the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) curriculum. This work will take place alongside the DVM curriculum redesign that is currently underway and set to launch in Fall 2027. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Pre-Clinical Sciences, and working collaboratively with the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) faculty and staff, the Project Manager coordinates implementation activities, including managing project timelines, facilitating stakeholder communication, and monitoring progress toward key objectives.
Job Responsibilities
50% - Faculty Support & Curriculum Implementation
Provide administrative support for implementing the SOC curricular initiative across the pre-clinical and clinical DVM curriculum.
Coordinate faculty workgroups, planning meetings, and implementation activities that support the integration of SOC principles into the legacy and the revitalized curriculum.
Organize and distribute teaching materials, implementation guides, schedules, and other resources that support faculty in delivering SOC curriculum and related educational initiatives.
Support the rollout of experiential learning in the pre-clinical curriculum within the Companion Animal Teaching Clinic (CATC) and other SOC educational initiatives by coordinating logistics, timelines, and communication.
Serve as a liaison between academic and clinical teams to ensure SOC and curriculum revitalization initiatives are implemented consistently across classroom and clinical learning environments
40% - Program Administration & Operations
Coordinate implementation of the SOC curricular initiative and related educational activities.
Develop and maintain project timelines, work plans, and implementation schedules.
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, document decisions, and monitor progress on assigned action items.
Track grant milestones, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
Coordinate communication among CVM faculty, clinicians, hospital leadership, and college administration.
Identify implementation barriers and coordinate solutions with project leadership.
10% - Other duties as assigned
Location: University of Minnesota, St. Paul Campus.
Work Environment: Hybrid, requiring a regular campus presence (3-4 days) to coordinate with faculty and staff, and support administrative workflows.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) plus at least two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in project management, program administration, higher education, or a related field; or to at least at least six (6) years of a combination of related education and work experience.
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, tight timelines, and cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Experience preparing reports, tracking project milestones, coordinating administrative processes, and using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and project management software.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in project management, higher education administration, business administration, or a related field.
Experience supporting curriculum implementation, faculty initiatives, educational programs, or academic administration in higher education.
Familiarity with health professions education, veterinary medicine, or academic healthcare environments.
The Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) Office at the College of Veterinary Medicine plays a central role in overseeing the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) professional program and supporting the holistic development and success of its students. The office is responsible for managing the DVM curriculum to ensure high-quality, competency-based veterinary education while overseeing the full student lifecycle from admissions to graduation. This includes academic advising, records management, and the administration of scholarships. ASA also leads the DVM admissions process and develops pathway programming to foster a well-rounded, well-prepared student body. In addition, the office provides critical support for student organizations, disability accommodations, and student-centered mental health and well-being initiatives. Beyond its direct work with students, ASA partners closely with faculty, staff and administrators to enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum, ensuring the college remains a leader in veterinary education.
Pay Range: $26.44-$36.06/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience
