Job Summary:

The HR Business Partner supports hospital leadership (veterinarians, hospital management, and operational leaders) across the full employee lifecycle. This role leverages strong project management, facilitation, and communication skills to deliver impactful talent solutions, drive measurable results, and build trusted partnerships with leaders.

The HR Business Partner is responsible for implementing human resources and operations programs and providing strategic and handson HR support in the areas of performance management, employee relations, workforce planning and scheduling, onboarding, employment processing, training and development, safety and health, retention, compliance, and labor relations.

This role ishybridinPhoenix, AZandrequires 70% travelto Lovet field locations in the West Valley.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role has no direct supervisory reports but serves as a strategic coach, mentor, and influencer to leaders across the enterprise, including veterinarians, hospital management, and operational leaders, to elevate leadership capability and organizational performance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Delivers timely HR reporting and insights to stakeholders and field teams to enable datadriven, strategic decisionmaking.

  • Partners with operations to drive bestpractice adoption and compliance at the hospital level, aligning daytoday execution with organizational goals.

  • Serves as a strategic thought partner and accountability coach to hospitals in achieving revenue targets, improving efficiency, and maintaining high standards of patient care.

  • Collaborates with learning and development team to design and execute fieldfacing training and onboarding programs that enhance DVM and team performance.

  • Provides targeted recruitment support and helps optimize the candidate interview experience to attract and hire highquality talent.

  • Supports hospital and operational leaders in managing staff and veterinarian performance and contributes to the design and implementation of performance management and talent management programs.

  • Conducts regular hospital visits, documents findings and action items, and communicates outcomes to ensure followthrough and measurable impact.

  • Serves as a liaison between hospitals and practice support center, ensuring clear communication of people and culture initiatives and alignment with the organization's strategic direction.

  • Provides guidance on employee relations and leaves of absence (including FMLA and ADAAA), ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and enhancing leader capability.

  • Acts as a brand and culture ambassador, modeling Lovet core values and coaching leaders to build a highperformance, highengagement culture that supports retention and hospital results.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resource management, dynamics of employee development and professional growth, and training program design and presentation.

  • Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations.

  • Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports.

  • Ability to plan, organize and present training activities to diverse employee groups.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field preferred.

  • 4+ years of human resource experience; or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Annual Salary Range: $80,000-95,000/year, with a generous benefits package that includes paid time off, health, dental, vision, and 401(k) savings plan with match.
