Requirements:
• Experience in IT Project Management (5+ years);
• Experience working in an established Project Management Office (PMO) (2+ years);
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite to include Microsoft Project and/or project management
technology tools;
• Experience utilizing Project Management Institute's best practices for project management;
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute;
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another related field. Or
equivalent work experience. Preference will also be given to applicants with experience working with state
agencies and following Department of Management's Project Management and Oversight guidelines.
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to the following:
• Coordinate project activities associated with the design and implementation of business process, legislative,
and supporting information systems projects;
• Apply project management principles for the development and delivery of business projects;
• Facilitate and author project determination documentation per Project Management guidelines, business
cases, scope definitions, and project charters documentation;
• Manage the scope, deliverables, risks, and issues for assigned projects;
• Facilitate gathering project requirements with business and information technology staff, business process
owners, business process subject matter experts, and/or key stakeholders as needed for assigned projects;
• Engage other stakeholders as necessary throughout project closure;
• Provide status reports to Program management and stakeholders;
• Document lessons learned and conduct project closure activities;
Perform other related duties as required
