About Us

QPS Flint is a leading mechanical and industrial contractor specializing in complex oil and gas infrastructure, including compressor stations, processing facilities, and pipeline support systems. With a strong reputation for safety, efficiency, and quality, we are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee field operations for gas compressor station construction projects.


General Summary: Serve as the primary field leader, ensuring high-quality work and compliance with project specifications, company standards, and safety regulations across all crews on site.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for field operations across assigned projects.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support project superintendents and field staff, ensuring alignment with company standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules in coordination with project managers and ensure milestones are met or exceeded.
  • Oversee jobsite safety culture and compliance; ensure all projects follow OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material resources to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for field operations with clients, inspectors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure work is executed accurately.
  • Proactively identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule challenges.
  • Participate in preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, and logistics planning.
  • Ensure quality control standards are maintained and final deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Support and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety programs.
  • Contribute to project closeout activities, including punch lists, commissioning, and turnover.

Educations/Experience:

Bachelors degree in Construction Management or similar combined with sufficient on-the-job experience to manage day-to-day activities on site. Minimum of 15 years oil and gas or industrial construction experience. Emphasis in Facility, Pump, and Compressor Stations preferred. Expert in computer usage including Microsoft Office and the Internet.

Work Conditions: Conditions described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully and safely perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

Environment: Regular work schedules, frequent overtime will be required to complete projects or specialized training. Overnight travel up to 95%. Works outside in extreme heat and cold, occasionally in an office with climate-controlled temperatures. Wears site required PPE.

Physical: This position is defined as Medium. Work involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally using any combination of body, hands, fingers, arms, legs, or feet to complete work. Walking and standing to a significant degree and occasional sitting.

Other: This position requires reliable transportation, steel-toed boots, and passing DOT drug and alcohol test.
