Job description

Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Location: Louisville, KY (Extensive Travel Required)
Compensation: $95,000 Target Base Salary + Travel Opportunities

Are you a hands-on Construction Project Manager who thrives in the field and enjoys leading crews through complex installations and startups? We are partnering with a well-established engineering and construction firm seeking a strong field leader to oversee multi-trade projects at customer sites nationwide.

This is a high-visibility role with significant autonomy, direct interaction with engineering teams and customers, and the opportunity to lead projects from installation through commissioning and startup.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate field crews across multiple trades during installation, fabrication, commissioning, and startup

  • Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for Engineering and the customer

  • Proactively solve field challenges and remove obstacles for crews

  • Communicate job status, resource needs, and progress updates to Project Engineers and Coordinators

  • Issue change orders, redline drawings, and provide required customer documentation

  • Oversee site safety compliance and conduct toolbox talks

  • Collect and manage timecards and project documentation

  • Support system startup and checkout as needed

  • Provide post-project feedback to internal stakeholders

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's Degree or trade school equivalent

  • 5–7+ years of construction management or superintendent experience

  • Background in plumbing, mechanical, or process systems strongly preferred

  • Willingness to travel 70%+ (projects located at customer sites nationwide)

  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass driver health screening

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and organizational ability

  • Comfortable using technology and Microsoft Office tools in the field
