Project Manager / Business Analyst / Project Lead - ELN/LIMS Implementation (Life Sciences)
About the Role
As a Project Manager / Business Analyst / Project Lead - ELN/LIMS Implementation, you will make an impact by leading the end-to-end implementation of Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) solutions within regulated laboratory environments. You will be a valued member of the Life Sciences Consulting team and work collaboratively with laboratory operations, Quality, Validation, IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, scalable, and business-aligned laboratory informatics solutions.
In this role, you will serve as both a project lead and business analyst, driving requirements gathering, solution implementation, validation activities, and stakeholder alignment while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
In This Role, You Will
  • Lead end-to-end ELN/LIMS implementation projects from planning, requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, validation, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, laboratory teams, IT organizations, and vendors to gather, analyze, document, and manage business and system requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, process maps, and implementation roadmaps while ensuring complete traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support system configuration, customization, integrations, data migration, and adoption activities to ensure successful solution deployment.
  • Oversee validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, change control, and compliance documentation within regulated environments.
Work Model
We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a remote position open to qualified applicants in the United States. Occasional travel may be required to client locations for workshops, project meetings, testing activities, training sessions, and implementation support.
Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs.
The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you're engaged in, as well as business and client requirements. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
  • Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience delivering Life Sciences, laboratory informatics, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated industry technology projects.
  • Experience leading ELN and/or LIMS implementation projects within laboratory environments.
  • Hands-on experience gathering business requirements, developing functional specifications, creating process maps, and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, sample management, laboratory operations, and scientific data management processes.
  • Experience supporting system configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Strong knowledge of GxP, GLP, cGMP, GAMP 5, CSV, and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, validation activities, and project documentation.
  • Strong communication, leadership, facilitation, business analysis, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
These Will Help You Stand Out
  • Hands-on experience with Freezerworks ELN/LIMS implementations.
  • Experience implementing laboratory informatics platforms for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical research, or quality control laboratories.
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, CBAP, or related project management and business analysis certifications.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party implementation partners.
  • Knowledge of laboratory instruments, laboratory automation systems, and scientific software integrations.
  • Experience supporting Computer System Validation (CSV) and regulatory inspection readiness activities.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based laboratory informatics platforms and digital laboratory transformation initiatives.
  • Experience leading global or multi-site laboratory system deployments.

We're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Don't hesitate to apply, even if you only meet the minimum requirements listed.
