We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Manager to join our team in Jasper. The Senior Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities and projects for seven locations in and near the Town of Jasper. This role manages a team of maintenance workers and ensures the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITES

Oversee the Daily Operations of a Maintenance Team

  • Develop and implement departmental operating plan

  • Coordinate the efforts of the department

  • Ensure excellent customer service and department follow through

  • Conduct regular facility inspections

  • Ensure safety, training, and cost-efficient operations

  • Use computer-based maintenance program to document work orders and track material usage


Trades Maintenance and Repair

  • Assist with daily maintenance of operations as needed

  • Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry repairs

  • Assist with snow removal and minor grounds work

  • Ensure accurate identification of all parts required for repairs

  • Coordinate timely ordering of parts and supplies

  • Identify, establish, and perform all necessary preventative maintenance for all building system equipment

Guest & Team Experience

  • Deliver professional, friendly service, respond promptly to requests, and attend required meetings and training

Team Leadership

  • Train and mentor staff on trade-related tasks and safety
  • Plan and schedule team training and project work

  • Assist with plan reviews, project schedules, and inspections as owner representative

  • Ensure work meets current codes and department policies and procedures

  • Organize and prioritize team tasks while promoting clear communication and effective reporting

  • Encourage innovation and continuous process improvements

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of experience as a general contractor or facilities maintenance experience for a large-scale properties

  • 5+ years of management experience, hotel property management experience is preferred

  • Practical skills in carpentry, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and commercial kitchen equipment repair

  • Ability to read blueprints and apply construction safety regulations and building codes (including provincial, federal, and historical)

  • Strong organizational, supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with business software (Outlook, Excel, etc.) and maintenance ticketing, asset management, and project management systems
