Position at MacAllister Machinery
Objective
This position is responsible for developing new customer relationships and facilitating sales growth for power generation rental equipment and services to customers.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Generate revenue and profit by achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
  • Increase market share within assigned territory by establishing and maintaining relationships with former and new customers
  • Provide customer service that meets or exceeds customer expectations to achieve goals for market share, fleet utilization and ROPA
  • Negotiate price with customers
  • Generate sales leads by determining customer needs and identifying equipment, services, and/or parts that MacAllister provides and routes sales leads to appropriate sales representative
  • Evaluate new construction projects and follow up with contractors for potential leads

Occasional/Other Responsibilities:
  • Assist management with sales forecasting involving budgets, market share, margins, and volume of sales
  • Assist the marketing department with the design and development of promotional materials to facilitate sales growth of power systems
  • Distribute promotional materials through e-commerce marketing channel and the allocated customer base

Other Requirements of Position
No formal responsibility for supervising others.
Works under general supervision. Employee acts independently to handle standard problems but usually reports on such problems. More unusual problems are referred to a supervisor/manager.
Major responsibilities typically require a modest amount of creativity and latitude. Employee typically operates under general instructions with some established procedures and policies.
Maintains equipment and supplies to avoid waste, prevent accidents, and prevent damage to areas and equipment
Qualifications
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 to 5 years of experience within Sales, Rental, or Power Generation
  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Power Generation, diesel technology, or related field
  • 5 years or more of experience with Sales, Rental, or Power Generation
