Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Sr. Electrical Project Manager Data Centers in Bloomington, IL. The Senior Electrical Project Manager will lead large-scale, mission-critical electrical construction projects within the hyperscale data center market. The ideal candidate possesses high-level technical expertise in electrical systems, thrives in fast-paced design-build environments, and brings a proven track record of managing complex logistics and multi-million dollar electrical scopes from preconstruction through commissioning.

Annual Salary: $175,000 to $250,000 Annually BOE
Responsibilities:
- Lead hyperscale and mission-critical electrical construction projects from initial preconstruction phases through final turnover.
- Manage large-scale electrical scopes including medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and busway systems.
- Oversee all aspects of project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and manpower planning.
- Drive coordination and communication between project owners, field teams, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors to ensure alignment.
- Support and oversee complex commissioning and turnover activities for redundant power infrastructure.
- Manage project logistics and fast-track schedules within active and high-density construction environments.
- Lead both field and office operations for assigned projects to ensure technical and safety compliance.
- Utilize project management and tracking tools including Procore, Bluebeam, and Accubid or Trimble.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of electrical project management experience, specifically with an electrical contractor background.
- Significant experience leading hyperscale or mission-critical data center construction projects is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, MEP coordination, and redundant power infrastructure.
- Proven experience in design-build project environments and managing large commercial or industrial electrical scopes.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Accubid or Trimble software suites.
- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and client-facing communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
- Ability to commute to various project sites throughout the Chicagoland area including Cook and Lake Counties.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform field inspections, which may include climbing ladders and navigating active construction sites.
- Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, and use hands to operate computers and mobile devices.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Exposure to typical construction site conditions, including loud noises and varying environmental temperatures.
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring and electrical components.
- Ability to walk long distances across large-scale facility sites.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
