Operations Manager

Job Summary

Coordinate and Manages the Wireline operations in all aspects related to field operations and implementation of Wireline processes, policies, procedures, and standards. Plan field jobs, monitor results, report back to the base and liaise with clients regularly. Must keep in close communication on any client requirements and or changes with the base management team. Responsible for attending client meetings and interactions at all times.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the day to day Wireline Operations
  • Taking responsibility for the profit and loss of assigned location
  • Employee management and development
  • Help in the inventory management
  • Perform well site visits on equipment and crews regularly
  • Handling special projects, as assigned
  • Involvement related to sales, engineering, maintenance, service quality, training, planning, and budget management
  • Required to write any reports associated with an assigned base, including projections, projected workload, planning, and budget items
  • Communicate daily with base management on any improvements or needs

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

  • 5 plus years of technical knowledge of the wireline field
  • Strong client interaction and communication skills
  • Computer literate in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Motivated and able to lead a team
  • Ability to generate a high level of credibility with clients
  • Ability to organize and direct all personnel and equipment at the location
  • Background as a Field Service Manager
  • Walk short distances, sometimes over uneven terrain
  • Must be willing to work an on-call schedule
  • Ability to work in changing climate conditions
  • Must be able to dispatch to a job site when needed

Qualifications

  • High School/GED, Undergraduate degree in Geology or Engineering preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operational instructions, and policies/procedures
  • Ability to write reports and effectively communicate with peers, subordinates, supervisors, and customers
  • Ability to apply advanced math skills to practical situations
  • Ability to solve problems in the practical field and interpret data presented in written, diagrammatic, or schedule form
