We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager to support our growing fabrication operation. This role will be responsible for managing projects from estimating through production coordination and delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabrication or manufacturing environment and be comfortable working directly with customers, vendors, and internal production teams.

· This is a highly visible role requiring strong organizational skills, technical understanding, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced shop environment.

· Key Responsibilities

· • Prepare project estimates and pricing based on drawings, specifications, and customer requirements

• Perform material takeoffs and calculate labor/material needs for fabrication projects

• Coordinate procurement of materials, components, and outside services to support project schedules

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer project managers throughout the project lifecycle

• Work closely with the Fabrication Manager to coordinate production schedules, priorities, and project timelines

• Track project progress, budgets, and delivery milestones to ensure customer expectations are met

• Review drawings, blueprints, and specifications to identify project requirements and potential issues

• Assist with scheduling, job costing, and documentation related to fabrication projects

• Support continuous improvement efforts related to estimating accuracy, workflow, and project execution

• Maintain strong communication between customers, vendors, engineering, and shop personnel

· Qualifications

· • 4+ years of experience in project management, estimating, or coordination within a fabrication, manufacturing, steel, industrial, or construction environment

• Experience performing material takeoffs and reading fabrication or construction drawings

• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and shop operations

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

• Strong communication and customer relationship skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP systems or estimating software

• Self-starter with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

• Ability to work effectively with both office staff and shop floor personnel

· Ideal experience would be in combustion, emission control, or structural steel fab. Familiarity with ASME U, S, and R ideal.
