Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS)

Job Summary:

Siter-Neubauer & Associate an affiliate of the MRINetwork is currently conducting searches for a seasoned and Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to lead the Surveying Department and oversee complex land surveying operations. This role will be responsible for managing survey teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables, supporting cross-functional projects, and representing the company in client engagements and business development opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and execute surveying services on diverse projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor field and office teams in the preparation of boundary surveys, subdivision plats, easements, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and construction layouts.
  • Prepare scopes of work, proposals, budgets, and schedules for assigned survey projects.
  • Process and post-process field data (GPS, Total Station, RTK, VRS) using Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Develop and review final deliverables, including plats, metes and bounds descriptions, and survey exhibits.
  • Coordinate field crews and survey production efforts, supporting efficient time use and cost management.
  • Support business development through client engagement and attendance at industry events.
  • Maintain an expert-level understanding of boundary law, legal descriptions, and survey best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Active RPLS license.
  • 3+ years of land surveying experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center preferred.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and client communication skills.
  • Experience with ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, platting, and construction staking/layouts.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and field staff scheduling.
  • Demonstrated success in a client-facing or business development role preferred.
