Job description

E-Logic is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a proposed IT Finance & Operations Support initiative for the New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE). This position is part of a competitive proposal effort and is contingent upon contract award.


The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing IT and operational projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and supporting strategic planning and governance initiatives within large organizations.


Note: This is not a fully remote position. Candidates should expect occasional travel into New York City, particularly during planning, coordination, and stakeholder alignment phases.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day planning, execution, and delivery of assigned projects and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation plans
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations
  • Coordinate activities across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership
  • Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and executive briefings
  • Support capital planning initiatives, roadmap execution, and governance activities
  • Ensure compliance with project management standards and organizational processes
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience supporting IT or technology-related initiatives
  • Experience supporting government, public sector, or education sector projects is highly preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar project management tools
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • PMP certification preferred
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT operational initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Experience supporting proposal-based or contract-driven engagements is a plus
