About Us

American Packout of Boston is a contents restoration and packout services company specializing in residential and commercial losses caused by water, fire, mold, and other disasters. We partner closely with insurance carriers, adjusters, contractors, and property managers to provide professional, efficient, and well-documented contents restoration services. As part of a growing national organization, we are launching and scaling high-quality packout operations in the Mississippi market.


Position Summary

The Packout Project Manager is responsible for managing and executing all residential and commercial packout and contents restoration services from start to finish. This role is hands-on and labor-intensive, requiring active participation in packing, moving, lifting, loading, and unloading customer contents while leading packout operations in the field.

In Boston, MS, this role also carries a division-launch and market-development focus. The Packout Project Manager will help build the Packout & Contents Restoration division from the ground up by developing referral relationships, generating new business, establishing workflows, and building scalable systems while maintaining strong production, documentation, and profitability standards.

This is not a supervisory-only role. The Packout Project Manager is expected to work in the field daily while managing projects, documentation, and business development responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities

Division Launch & Business Development

  • Help launch and build the Packout & Contents Restoration division in the Boston, MS market from the ground up
     
  • Generate new business through marketing, networking, and relationship-building with adjusters, agents, contractors, and property managers
     
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of leads and referral sources
     
  • Represent the company professionally in the community and at industry events
     

Project Management & Operations

  • Manage packout projects from initial loss through packback, ensuring quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability
     
  • Perform on-site inspections and develop accurate scopes of work for contents packout and restoration
     
  • Assist with or perform packouts and field work as needed, especially during early-stage growth
     
  • Coordinate and schedule crews, cleaning operations, storage, and delivery logistics
     
  • Ensure all contents are properly inventoried, photographed, labeled, and tracked
     
  • Plan and coordinate pack-backs upon completion of mitigation or reconstruction
     

Financial & Administrative Control

  • Maintain organized job files with complete documentation for insurance billing
     
  • Track labor, materials, storage, and job costs to ensure projects meet profitability goals
     
  • Order, stage, and manage materials and supplies for each project
     
  • Prepare and support accurate invoicing to insurance carriers and clients
     

Quality & Process Development

  • Establish, improve, and document systems, workflows, and processes as the division grows
     
  • Maintain quality control standards and resolve customer concerns promptly
     
  • Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards
     

Communication & Client Relations

  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, adjusters, and referral partners throughout each project
     
  • Explain the packout and contents restoration process clearly and set appropriate expectations
     
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in packout, contents restoration, or related restoration project management
     
  • Proven ability to manage packout projects from loss through packback
     
  • Experience working directly with insurance adjusters and carriers preferred
     
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and cost-tracking skills
     
  • Comfortable performing physical field work, including lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading contents
     
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
     
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills
     
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-project environments
     
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort helping build a new division
     
Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly
     
  • Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in residential and commercial environments
     
  • Comfortable working in varying weather and job site conditions
     
  • Willingness to perform hands-on packout labor as part of daily responsibilities
