Pay Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Human Resources with a Direct line to specific department manager


JOB SUMMARY

The intern of these departments will directly assist the department manager and department team with completing departmental projects. The goal of an internship is to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world situations, as well as gain the skills and experience that is necessary to prepare the student for a successful career in their desired path.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Learn and master internal operations, including but not limited to accounting, event planning, finance, human resources, payroll, marketing, relationship building, customer service, sales, daily operations, etc. 
  • Identify areas for process improvement 
  • Make recommendations to leadership for streamlining systems and processes 
  • Provide general administration assistance and support 
  • Research and implement solutions for enhanced efficiency 
  • Assist in representing the company at recruiting events such as career fairs, etc. 
  • Assist with employee orientation 
  • Assist in development and delivery of training programs 
  • Provide support of new hire on-boarding process 
  • Observe all areas of the Human Resources department 
  • Audit employee personnel, training, and other files for compliance with applicable laws 
  • Help with safety and wellness initiatives 
  • Data entry, filing, spreadsheet management 
  • Update database's 
  • Organize and maintain database 
  • Apply good leadership techniques to achieve or exceed the expected level of quality and production output 
  • Sit in on meeting with Supervisors and Managers to gain understanding of current projects/focuses 
  • Other administrative and business management tasks as assigned

  • Working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field
