Description
Team Fishel , the Best Choice in Utility Construction and Engineering, is seeking an experienced Fiber Installation and Splicing Project Manager to oversee on-site fiber optic installation projects for our Manassas, VA operation. The successful candidate will lead multiple teams responsible for the installation, splicing, and testing of fiber networks for large-scale projects. This role requires managing multiple supervisors and field crews as well as coordinating with subcontractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely, in alignment with project timelines and budget.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage fiber installation and splicing crews to ensure project quality and safety standards are met
  • Plan, coordinate, and assign daily tasks to crews for multiple on-site projects
  • Oversee splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber networks to ensure operational integrity
  • Manage project timelines, material procurement, and resource allocation to meet deadlines
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers, providing progress updates and addressing any concerns
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, industry regulations, and company safety protocols
  • Perform QA/QC inspections and review test results to ensure adherence to project specifications
  • Utilize Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word to create reports, manage project data, and document project progress

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, and project supervision
  • Strong knowledge of splicing techniques, OTDR, and power meter testing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Smartsheet for project documentation, reporting, and data management
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple on-site projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Must be able to work on-site in Northern Virginia
