Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid - local candidates only)
Job Type: Contract
Experience: Extensive hands-on IT project management experience required
Job Overview
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper project governance, monitoring, schedule management, issue tracking, and status reporting
  • Oversee vendor and technical team activities, schedules, and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, roadmaps, work breakdown structures, and timelines
  • Manage system and operational risks; implement risk mitigation and escalation protocols
  • Monitor project budgets, resource utilization, procurement, and vendor contract management
  • Ensure all project documentation is version-controlled and stored per agency standards
  • Enforce change control processes and maintain configuration document repositories
  • Report progress to IT Program/Project Manager, Director of Applications, and IT Strategy/PMO leadership
Required Skills
  • Extensive IT project management experience with full financial accountability (PMP or equivalent preferred)
  • Strong SDLC methodology knowledge and application
  • AWS services experience or AWS migration background (Azure familiarity also valued)
  • Understanding of testing methodologies: functional, systems, integration, performance, UAT, and security
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, Jira, and MS Teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and maintain stakeholder relationships
Preferred Skills
