Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Manager, Operational Technology (OT) to join our team. The successful candidate will direct the integration, reliability, and security of mine automation, digital transformation, and mine technology systems (e.g., automated haulage, IoT, SCADA, digital and wireless communications). They bridge the gap between traditional IT and on-premises mining technology deployments to maximize production, efficiency, and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the regional owner and facilitator providing guidance to site leads for mining technology systems and digital initiatives
  • Support, execute, and maintain a digital transformation strategy aligned with organizational goals
  • Own and maintain the site Technology Roadmap, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic priorities
  • Lead the implementation, integration, and optimization of mining operational technology projects
  • Oversee the selection, deployment, and sustainment of technology systems across site operations
  • Ensure effective adoption and long-term performance of digital and technology solutions
  • Lead cross-functional teams through technology implementations and process changes
  • Provide leadership and hands-on support for mining-related projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support digital transformation efforts
  • Engage stakeholders to understand needs and ensure successful delivery of technology solutions
  • Monitor execution and sustainment of technology changes, reinforcing integration with technology systems and performance tracking
Qualifications:
  • Maintain continuity of technology deployment by directing priorities, resolving barriers, and ensuring adherence to the site improvement roadmap.
  • 10+ years of proven leadership experience in mining operations, operational technology, or digital transformation roles;
  • Strong understanding of mining systems (e.g., Networking & Data Management Systems, Fleet Management Systems, dispatch, automation technologies);
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive technology adoption;
  • Strategic mindset with experience developing and executing roadmaps or transformation initiatives;
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills;
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical support with leadership responsibilities;
  • Experience managing change and driving continuous improvement through technology;
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a dynamic operational environment.
