JOB PURPOSE
The Project Manager will oversee and drive the full project lifecycle for the delivery of e2Companies' integrated power systems, from initiation through closeout. This role owns project planning, execution, financial performance, and stakeholder coordination across internal teams, contractors, and customers, while partnering with e2Companies' commissioning team, which leads the on-site installation and energization work. The Project Manager reports directly to the Executive Team and drives accountability across all cross functional stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the full project lifecycle from initiation through closeout, ensuring successful delivery of integrated power systems
  • Partner closely with e2's commissioning and engineering teams, which lead on-site installation and energization, to align schedules, resources, and site readiness
  • Coordinate and schedule jobs across the commissioning team, contractors, and customers
  • Develop detailed project plans, metrics, schedules, resource plans, and status reports
  • Track and report percent complete, milestone status, and overall project health against baseline schedule
  • Manage project cost performance using Earned Value Management principles, including Estimate at Completion (EAC), Estimate to Complete (ETC), Cost Performance Index (CPI), and Schedule Performance Index (SPI); flag variances early with corrective action plans
  • Provide project leadership, direction, and feedback; motivate teams to meet milestones and deliverables
  • Communicate project status, financial position, and forecast to executives and key stakeholders
  • Create quotes and bids for future projects
  • Schedule shipping and receiving of parts and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (MUST-HAVE)
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Construction Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience delivering electrical infrastructure, power systems, or high voltage construction projects
  • Proven ownership of the full construction project lifecycle, from planning and scheduling through field execution, energization, and closeout
  • Direct project delivery experience with at least one of the following: power system infrastructure, utility construction, battery energy storage systems (BESS), microgrids, or distributed energy resources (DER)
  • Working knowledge of the end-to-end electrical install lifecycle for power system projects, including the correct order of operations from site prep and grounding grid installation, through equipment setting (transformers, switchgear, generators, BESS), MV/LV cable pulls and terminations, controls and protection integration, cold commissioning (insulation, cable, relay, and ground grid testing), and hot commissioning through utility energization
  • Working knowledge of medium and high voltage electrical systems, grounding, protective relaying, and utility interconnection sequencing, with the ability to read single line diagrams, electrical drawings, and commissioning documentation
  • Familiarity with major power equipment OEMs (transformers, switchgear, generators, BESS) and typical long-lead procurement timelines, sufficient to build realistic schedules and coordinate deliveries
  • Working knowledge of the permitting and regulatory approvals required to energize a power system site, including utility interconnection agreements, AHJ electrical and building permits, environmental and air permits where applicable, and the Permission to Operate (PTO) process from the serving utility
  • Demonstrated experience tracking percent complete and reporting project financial performance, including Estimate at Completion (EAC), Estimate to Complete (ETC), and cost and schedule variance analysis
  • Experience coordinating licensed electrical contractors, commissioning teams, and vendors on active construction sites
  • Ability to travel up to 30% based on project needs
  • Proficiency with common computer applications and project management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex project challenges
  • Clear, concise, and professional communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE-TO-HAVE)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology
  • Project delivery experience with any of the following: power system infrastructure, utility construction, battery energy storage systems (BESS), microgrids, or distributed energy resources (DER)
  • Experience on data center construction projects, or comparable mission-critical or large-scale facility projects
  • Familiarity with governing industry standards, including NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, NFPA 110, IEEE 1547 (DER interconnection), IEEE C37 (switchgear), and NETA ATS (acceptance testing)
