Job description

Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing cleanroom construction projects from project inception through final completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and quality standards. The Project Manager works closely with the Superintendent and project teams to coordinate construction activities, manage project documentation, financial performance, and maintain strong relationships with owners, consultants, and subcontractors.

Duties & Responsibilities

โ€ข Project Management

  • Oversee all day-to-day construction activities from preconstruction through project closeout
  • Partner with the Superintendent to monitor schedule, budget, and overall project performance
  • Participate in preconstruction activities including coordination with estimating and project teams
  • Support value engineering efforts to improve project efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Manage design-build projects including coordination with design consultants and oversight of design schedules
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and building designs to ensure they meet project requirements
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate project team members to ensure successful project delivery
  • Ensure subcontractor insurance and bonding requirements are met prior to project start
  • Manage project minority participation requirements where applicable
  • Partner with internal departments including estimating, purchasing, and scheduling to ensure efficient project execution
  • Assist with project documentation including project summaries, photos, and database updates
  • Develop and maintain project schedules from project start through completion

โ€ข Client & Stakeholder Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project owners and subcontractors
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Represent the company professionally with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Maintain positive communication with owners and architect/engineering teams to support project execution

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Assistant Project Managers and project staff
  • Communicate expectations and ensure team accountability
  • Support jobsite safety initiatives in partnership with the Superintendent
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen safety procedures and standards
  • Communicate regularly with executive leadership regarding project updates and potential issues

  • Manage project documentation including submittals, drawings, and specifications
  • Review and process submittals to maintain project progress
  • Manage all Procore operations including change management, document control, and drawing logs
  • Administer subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Ensure subcontractors meet insurance, bonding, and contract requirements prior to mobilization

โ€ข Financial Management

  • Manage project financial performance including vendor invoices and owner billings
  • Maintain cost forecasts and monitor project budgets
  • Manage internal and external change orders
  • Support estimate reviews to ensure budget alignment with project scope and market conditions

โ€ข Quality Control

  • Ensure construction operations comply with design specifications and company policies
  • Partner with the Superintendent to monitor quality control throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage warranty issues and coordinate resolution with subcontractors and vendors
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure work complies with applicable codes, safety regulations, drawings, and specifications

Qualifications & Requirements

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field

โ€ข Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience directly related to project management responsibilities

โ€ข Experience with project cost management and estimating

โ€ข Proficiency with construction management software such as Sage/Timberline and Procore or similar systems

โ€ข Experience with scheduling tools including Microsoft Project or Primavera P6

โ€ข Working knowledge of Revit

โ€ข Ability and willingness to travel as required

โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills

โ€ข Knowledge of construction design, building systems, and project planning principles
