Job description

Our Atlanta office is growing, and we are looking for a highly motivated Architectural Project Manager excited to help us grow in our life science, municipal, commercial, and higher education markets. In this role, you will have the opportunity to market and manage multi-disciplinary teams for a wide range of projects. You will also assist in growing a dynamic architectural, MEP, and commission staff, while also working alongside and obtaining support from our strong national architectural team. The ideal individual will have 10+ years of experience and be a self-starter with strong project management skills

What You'll Do:
  • Participate in marketing opportunities and develops successful client relationships for continuing business.
  • Lead project teams to execute all aspects of the design process and project complexities to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design and execution.
  • Full responsibility for managing all aspects of projects to ensure efficient execution within scope and budget.
  • Manage project teams, fostering collaboration, demonstrates strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance, design ideas and successful project delivery.
  • Participate in developing and validating project scope and fee, budget and scope of services during the marketing and contract development process.
  • Provide complete and timely communication of project information to and from clients and project team.
  • Responsible for managing project using the Deltek Project Management system; completes work plans in Deltek; including identification of project team members, budget, consultants, schedule for completion, fees and costs as well as project change notices or other actions taking place on the assigned project.
  • Work with the team to avoid or eliminate conflicts in schedule due to the changes in various projects.
  • Monitor construction administration during the construction phase
  • Consider risk management by monitoring client issues and technical issues in a timely manner to minimize liability.
  • Review work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the firm's Technical Delivery Manual.
  • Coordinate staffing resources with Operations Leaders across the firm.
  • Mentor staff.
  • Be the leader for the architectural discipline in a rapidly growing Atlanta office, building a fun culture centered on client care, design excellence and project delivery.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree Architecture, from an accredited program, required; Masters preferred
  • Registered Architect strongly preferred (NCARB preferred, but not required)
  • 10+ years of work experience in architectural design and planning within core markets
  • Demonstrated project management and supervisory experience
  • Success in developing new clients and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Proficient use of Revit a plus.
  • Experience with Deltek, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organization, coordination, leadership, team-building and managerial skills
