What this job involves:

As a Project Manager at JLL, you'll take ownership of construction and real estate projects from inception to completion, serving as the trusted leader who brings together clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. This role puts you at the center of dynamic project environments where your organizational expertise and technical knowledge directly shape outcomes for our clients. You'll manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality across diverse project portfolios, including specialized secure facility construction that requires attention to compliance and operational security protocols. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way - for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees - and as a Project Manager, you'll be instrumental in turning complex visions into built realities. Working on a hybrid schedule with three days per week in our Reston office, you'll balance strategic coordination with hands-on site engagement, traveling to project locations approximately 20-30% of the time to ensure quality execution and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. This position offers the opportunity to build expertise in both conventional and classified project delivery while advancing your career in a culture that values collaboration and professional growth.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Manage all phases of assigned construction projects, coordinating scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements to meet client objectives and project milestones

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors, building collaborative relationships that drive project success

  • Oversee secure facility construction projects including ICD-705 compliant upgrades and new secure facility buildouts, maintaining operational security protocols and clearance coordination

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budget tracking systems, and risk management logs to proactively identify and address potential issues

  • Review and process contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, and payment applications, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with project specifications

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, verify quality control standards, and enforce safety compliance across all project activities

  • Facilitate project coordination meetings including design reviews, construction meetings, and client status updates, preparing detailed documentation and meeting minutes

  • Manage project documentation systems including drawings, specifications, correspondence, procurement records, and closeout materials in organized, accessible formats

  • Track critical path items, deliverables, and project milestones, escalating risks and concerns to senior leadership while implementing solutions to keep projects on schedule

To be considered for this position, you must reside in Virginia, California or Colorado

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of hands-on project management or construction management experience delivering complex projects

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with proven capacity to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for engaging with clients, stakeholders, and project teams at all levels

  • Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Procore, and Bluebeam, along with advanced Microsoft Office Suite capabilities

  • Ability to read, interpret, and work with construction drawings, specifications, technical documents, and building code requirements

  • Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to navigate project challenges

  • Demonstrated team collaboration skills and ability to build productive working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups

  • Valid driver Lic

  • US citizenship isrequiredfor this position due to government contract requirements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience supporting secure facility projects, government construction, or defense industry clients

  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain appropriate clearance for classified project work

  • Familiarity with ICD-705 standards, security coordination processes, and operational security (OPSEC) protocols

  • Knowledge of secure facility construction practices including access control systems and clearance tracking procedures

  • Understanding of federal procurement processes and government contract administration

Estimated compensation for this position:

95,000.00 - 120,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
