Project Manager – Architectural Metals

St Michael, MN | Direct Hire | $110K–$130K | On-Site

Konik is partnering with a well-respected, locally based construction and fabrication firm to add a Project Manager specializing in architectural metals. This is a hands-on role managing the planning, execution, and delivery of custom metal projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication and installation processes, with strong construction management skills and the ability to work directly with drafters, production, and procurement teams.

Project Manager – Architectural Metals Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of architectural metal projects, including design, fabrication, and installation.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and vendors; provide updates and resolve issues proactively.
  • Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure constructability, feasibility, and quality standards.
  • Oversee vendor and subcontractor selection, pricing, and project coordination.
  • Conduct site visits to address field issues and maintain communication between shop, engineering, and installation teams.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including change orders, shop drawings, and progress reports.

Project Manager – Architectural Metals Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, metal fabrication, architectural metals, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of metal materials, finishes, and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Excel, Trello, Procore, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on shop/manufacturing environment.
