ResponsibilitiesShawmut is seeking an experienced Project Executive - Mission Critical to lead large, complex data center and missioncritical projects ranging from $100M to $500M+. This senior leader oversees client strategy, project execution, contractual and financial performance, and the development of highperforming teams. The ideal candidate brings deep missioncritical expertise, strong business acumen, and proven leadership of multidisciplinary project teams in highpressure, fastpaced environments.

Project & Business Leadership

  • Lead overall project strategy, execution, and performance from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Oversee budgets, financial controls, scheduling, forecasting, and contract compliance.
  • Ensure alignment between project delivery, client expectations, and business objectives.
Client, Partner & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for clients, subcontractors, and key partners.
  • Build and maintain trusted executivelevel client relationships to drive satisfaction and repeat work.
  • Lead strategic discussions with clients, design partners, and internal leadership.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution
  • Identify financial, operational, contractual, and relationship risks early.
  • Develop and implement mitigation and recovery strategies to protect performance and client trust.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are consistently met.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Provide senior leadership to Project Managers, Superintendents, and field staff.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 15+ years of construction management experience with leadership on large, complex projects.
  • 5+ years of missioncritical/data center experience, including hyperscale or colocation programs.
  • Proven track record leading projects valued at $100M-$500M+.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Technical & Leadership Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of all construction phases, trades, sequencing, and field execution.
  • Strong ability to lead large teams, solve problems quickly, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Expertise in cost control, forecasting, change management, and contract administration.

U.S. Base Salary Range: $200K-300K:  Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles) and internal company equity.
