Operations Manager Trainee - Rotational Program

Join Webco Industries Inc. and be part of a structured, handson development program designed to build the next generation of operations leaders.

The Webco Operations Manager Trainee Program is a twoyear, rotational, learning experience that provides broad exposure across Webco's manufacturing and business operations. Participants will complete four structured rotations over two years, gaining firsthand experience in the core functions that drive operational excellence.

Rotations may include:

  • Safety and Environmental Management
  • Manufacturing & Production Operations
  • Supply Chain & Production Planning Management
  • Quality, New Product Development, or Commercial / Customer Support

Each rotation concludes with a formal presentation to site and divisional leadership, reinforcing accountability, communication skills, and business acumen.

Program Overview

The Operations Manager Trainee Program is designed to:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Webco's endtoend operations
  • Build leadership capability, decisionmaking skills, and operational judgment
  • Prepare highpotential individuals for future supervisory and management roles

Throughout the program, trainees are treated as future leaders, not observers.

In Addition to Rotational Assignments, Participants Will Receive:

By the end of the program, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of Webco's operations, a strong foundation in leadership and business fundamentals, and a clear view of potential career paths within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Support daily manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, throughput, and waste reduction
  • Assist with standard work development, process optimization, and performance tracking

Leadership & Team Support

  • Lead or support crossfunctional teams on assigned projects
  • Communicate operational issues, risks, and improvement opportunities effectively
  • Influence and support change management initiatives on the shop floor
  • Act as a developing leader for hourly and salaried team members

Analysis & Problem Solving

  • Conduct operational evaluations, and rootcause investigations
  • Data-driven decision making using, KPI's, dashboards, and root-cause analysis
  • Identify causes of process, equipment, or quality issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Support implementation and sustainment of solutions

Learning & Development

  • Take ownership of personal development for the benefit of both self and the organization
  • Actively seek feedback, coaching, and learning opportunities
  • Build a strong understanding of Webco's products, processes, and customers

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Internship or early career experience in manufacturing or operations, preferred
  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement concepts, preferred
  • Experience working on crossfunctional teams, highly desired
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work on the shop floor and in an industrial manufacturing environment
