Description:
The qualified intern should expect to contribute and improve in the following functions:
  • Participate and support vehicle project management team.
  • Support activity planning and steering of quality management.
  • Assist with the preparation of recurring supplier events, reports and other back-office duties.
  • Support project leaders and steerers on following activities:
    • IPQ / DCT / QZ / PQM KPI reporting
    • Organization of supplier / QMT / project meetings
    • Process document updates and reporting
    • Plant, purchasing and supplier meetings
  • Generate protocols of project and quality meetings.
  • Update and track project report.
  • Quality control and sorting actions.
  • Optimize internal project management processes and tools.
  • Update & maintain group intranet and confluence site.
  • Improve functionality & efficiency of quality and project tools and methods through increased use of AI.
  • Automate repetitive tasks such as quality reports/results generation (increase internal efficiency)

Qualifications:
  • Technical degree student preferred (ME, IE, Supply Chain or related), junior or higher level
  • Preferred skills:
  • AI prompting and app building with AI
  • Quality and project management
  • Problem solving and Analytical Thinking
  • Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical mind that is open to innovative ideas.
  • Ideally with some IT background.
  • German skills are advantageous.
  • Must be enrolled at a university outside of the United States.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on the US grading scale
  • Must have completed a prior BMW internship of at least 3 months in length.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • Must provide the following paperwork in English.
    • Curriculum Vitae/Resume.
    • Last University Performance Record.
    • Cover letter (not required).
    • Relevant references and certificates (not required).
  • Work term dates are from September 21, 2026, to March 5, 2027.
