Project Estimation Intern Construction Roofing

Paid Summer Internship | Piedmont SC | Full Time

Launch Your Construction Career This Summer

If you want a summer that actually prepares you for a career in construction and not just something to put on your resume, this is it.

Allcon Roofing is hiring one high potential intern to join our estimating team for Summer 2026. You will work directly with our Lead Estimator on real commercial and residential roofing projects and learn how bids are built, priced, and won.

No busywork. No coffee runs. Real experience.

The Opportunity

This is a hands on, full time internship focused on project estimation, one of the most in demand and high impact skills in construction.

By the end of the summer, you will:

  • Understand how construction bids are built from start to finish
  • Contribute to real project estimates
  • Gain experience that sets you apart in interviews and future roles
What You Will Do
  • Perform material and quantity takeoffs using construction drawings
  • Assist in pricing labor, materials, and complete project estimates
  • Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
  • Attend job site visits and pre bid walkthroughs
  • Support the preparation of real bid submissions
  • Work with estimating tools such as Excel and Bluebeam
  • Complete a capstone estimating project and present to leadership
