What you'll do:

Reporting to the Location Manager, the Agro Supervisor will perform a variety of responsibilities in the operation, ensuring alignment with our Core Values and Brand.

  • Understanding and following Westview Co-op's Health and Safety Program and promoting a culture of safety.
  • Providing professional, people-first service to our Members and Guests and living by our Brand expectations through our "You're at Home Here" motto.
  • Lead the direction for Team Members in all areas including Performance Management, Talent Development, Engagement, Talent Acquisition, Orientation & Onboarding.
  • Responsible for the overall safe and effective operation of the Agro Department. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling, inventory management, ordering, merchandising, and maintaining Brand Standards.
  • Operating point-of-sale terminals as required.
  • General merchandising and stocking of product.
  • Accurate ordering and receiving of product.
  • Working with CASMS (Computer Assisted Shelf Management).
  • Responsible for managing inventory, including completing cycle counts.
  • Perform administrative tasks to support and maintain the department's financial accountability.
  • Ensure a high level of store image in line with our Brand expectations.
  • Other responsibilities, projects and assignments as required.

This position requires the use of equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, as well as heavy lifting of product up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Who you are:

We are looking for a positive, approachable and motivated individual with a drive to learn. Candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Previous agricultural retail or Agro experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of our Values (Integrity, Community, Teamwork).
  • Professional, people-first Guest service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail as well as organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Quality communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license is required.
  • Willing to participate in a Criminal Record Background Check.

This is a Temporary Full-time position. The successful candidate must have the ability to work days, evenings and weekends.
