Job Title: Project Manager / Project Manager – Electrical Construction (Semiconductor & Data Center)

Job Description

This role leads complex electrical construction projects in a high‑tech semiconductor environment, with a primary focus on supporting a major client’s electrical scope of work at a large Micron facility in Boise, ID. The Expereinced Project Manager and Project Manager oversee all phases of the project lifecycle—from set-up and contract administration through execution, cost control, and closeout—while providing strong safety leadership and driving high standards of quality, schedule, and financial performance. This position is ideal for an experienced electrical construction professional who thrives in mission-critical environments and enjoys collaborating closely with field teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong safety leadership on site, promoting and enforcing a culture of safe work practices across all project activities.
  • Administer contracts, including reviewing terms, ensuring compliance, and managing contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Set up projects effectively, including establishing project controls, documentation standards, and communication protocols.
  • Coordinate and schedule site labor, aligning manpower with project milestones and adjusting staffing to meet changing priorities.
  • Develop, manage, and track project budgets and estimates, ensuring alignment with scope and financial targets.
  • Oversee project documentation, including submittals, operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals, and other required project records.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities and manage subcontracts, including procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Track production and progress, measuring performance against schedule and budget and implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control and quality assurance processes to ensure work meets project specifications and industry standards.
  • Manage project cost control and billing, including reviewing costs, preparing invoices, and monitoring financial performance.
  • Prepare and maintain project cost-to-complete reports and forecasts, providing accurate projections of financial outcomes.
  • Identify, develop, and manage project change orders, ensuring proper documentation, pricing, and client communication.
  • Lead and coordinate project closeout activities, including punch lists, final documentation, and turnover to the client.
  • Maintain clear and consistent internal and external communication with field teams, leadership, vendors, and client representatives.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned to support successful project delivery and team performance.

  • 5+ years of project management experience in the construction industry for the Project Manager level.
  • 8+ years of project management experience in the construction industry for the Project Manager level.
  • A working knowledge of electrical construction at a level normally acquired through completion of a five-year electrical apprentice program.
  • 5+ years of experience in high-tech or mission-critical data center construction for the Project Manager level.
  • 2+ years of experience in mission-critical data center construction for the Project Manager level.
  • Electrical construction experience, preferably gained with an electrical contractor.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects in semiconductor or data center environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for project documentation, reporting, and communication.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam for reviewing, marking up, and managing drawings and documents.
  • Knowledge of medium- to high-voltage electrical systems in a construction context.
  • Strong construction management skills, including planning, scheduling, coordination, and resource management.
  • Demonstrated financial analytical skills, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams, clients, and partners.
  • Strong human relations skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform duties in a consistently professional manner and maintain a professional appearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or a combination of field experience and education (preferred).

Work Environment

This is an on-site role based at a large Micron project in Boise, ID, supporting high-tech semiconductor and mission-critical data center electrical construction. The position follows a 60/60/50 schedule through the general contractor, reflecting the dynamic and demanding nature of the project environment. Work takes place in an active construction setting with coordination between field crews, subcontractors, and client representatives, and involves regular use of tools such as Microsoft Office and Bluebeam for planning, documentation, and communication. The role is a salaried position and includes access to a company vehicle or vehicle allowance and a company phone or phone allowance to support on-site responsibilities. Relocation assistance is available for the right fit. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
