Examples of Duties Under general supervision, performs advanced professional and supervisory professional fiscal, administrative, and analytical duties. Supervises administrative staff. Essential Job Duties Supervises professional and support staff.
Plans, assigns, coordinates, and reviews the work of employees performing accounting, clerical, purchasing, budgeting, and other administrative functions. Leads, coordinates and conducts special programs and projects. Formulates, executes, and controls operating, capital, and grant budgets.
Analyzes agency and program expenses, revenues, and other fiscal and budgetary data. Prepares and reviews budget requests, justifications, and related fiscal documents. Formulates budget proposals.
Supervises the preparation of quarterly and annual budget projections. Reviews, monitors and authorizes expenditures. Supervises the procurement of goods, services, supplies, and equipment.
Reviews and authorizes purchase requests and requisitions. Provides advice and guidance to staff regarding agency purchasing. Supervises, coordinates, and conducts administrative and management studies.

Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, public administration, economics, or a related field; Plus Two years' experience performing professional fiscal, administrative, and/or analytical duties. Additional experience involving the analysis and evaluation of budgets, systems, policies and procedures, organizations, and programs may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four years for the required education.
Education in business administration, public administration, or a related field beyond a bachelor's degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of public and business administration. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of budgeting and statistical data analysis.
Knowledge of current offices practices, procedures, and systems. Thorough knowledge of English grammar and usage. Skill in the use of personal computers and office software packages.
