In support of the NeuroPlatform, the Department of Neurologic Surgery databases and registries, the individual will assist with the design, integration, modernization, and long-term support of data platforms, reporting solutions, and technical infrastructure. Responsibilities include integrating data from multiple source systems, designing and maintaining data models and automated data workflows, developing APIs and reporting solutions, supporting dashboard modernization initiatives, improving data quality and governance processes, and collaborating with clinical, research, operational, and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics capabilities.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, mathematics, computer science, health science and at least 12 graduate level semester hours in domain-relevant sciences or seven years or more of data science and AI experience.
The preferred candidate will possess a PhD or Master's degree with one year experience in a relevant field such as engineering, mathematics, computer science, health science, or other analytical/quantitative field and a minimum of one year of professional or research experience in data.
Additional Preferred Qualifications for NeuroPlatform Support
Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms, reporting solutions, or business applications that integrate data from multiple systems, databases, APIs, and external data sources.
Strong experience with data integration, ETL/ELT development, SQL databases, data modeling, API development, system architecture, and application modernization initiatives.
Experience developing dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms.
Experience working within cloud-based environments and modern software development practices, including Microsoft Azure, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications, and microservices architectures.
Demonstrated success leading complex technical projects from requirements gathering through implementation, working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Experience establishing technical standards, data governance practices, documentation, data quality controls, and scalable support processes.
Experience developing automation solutions that improve data collection, validation, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Demonstrated ability to translate business and user requirements into technical solutions and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in healthcare, research, financial services, insurance, government, or other highly regulated environments is desirable.
Familiarity with healthcare data, Epic, clinical registries, outcomes reporting, Microsoft Fabric, or related technologies is preferred but not required.
