Summary:

This role provides leadership and oversight for the Project Management team, including project coordination. Guide and inspire excellence through operational, financial, client relations and team member development. Responsible to lead, mentor, and develop a staff of Project Managers and Project Engineers, with the ability to function as a Senior Project Manager.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This role is the direct supervisor to project management (PM) and project engineer (PE) team members. Responsible for the hiring, support, development, and mentoring of team members.
  • Inspire, educate, and coach teammates to deliver superior client service profitably. This role is ultimately accountable for the project team's success. Establish and monitor workload levels for execution excellence.
  • Actively monitor and increase the extent to which the company sells the full RJM value to clients.
  • Develop operational excellence by guiding jobs and job teams, including pre-construction participation, construction, closeout, and post-construction services.
  • Monitor and identify potential financial and/or existing issues that could lead to poor financial performance and immediately address these issues.
  • Oversight of internal project financials and update reports ensuring completion and accuracy.
  • Closely monitor the contingency management process.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of RJM policies, procedures, and initiatives to achieve established goals and support RJM's mission and core values.
  • Aid in the RFP process to secure work in multiple market sectors.
  • Represent RJM with Owners, Architects, Consultants, Vendors, and Subcontractors in a professional way.
  • This role is expected to cover their hours through the allocation of their time to projects or directly run projects in a Senior Project Management role to cover remaining billable hours.
  • Consistently provide leadership by promoting safety, conducting required hazard assessments, and immediately addressing unsafe work practices or conditions.
  • Attend strategic industry functions to further RJM's visibility and reputation in the marketplace.

Education:

  • BS Degree in Construction Management or related field. Experience may be substituted for degree.

Professional Certifications or Licenses:
LEED Accreditation preferred, not required

Work Experience:

  • 8-10 years of project management experience in commercial general construction or construction management relatable to RJM's project complexities.
  • Working knowledge of building codes and ADA laws.
  • Five plus years managing high performing teams.

Compensation & Benefits:

The per anum base pay range is $165,000 - $225,000. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities. The position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include travel pay and/or a bonus or incentive program. Defered compensation may be provided for eligible positions.
