Civil Project Engineer – Land Development

Phoenix, AZ


A well-established civil engineering firm is adding a Civil Project Engineer to support land development work across the Phoenix metro area. This position offers hands-on technical responsibility and the opportunity to grow alongside experienced project managers while working on a diverse mix of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.


You’ll be involved in the design, coordination, and delivery of site development projects, contributing directly to high-quality engineering solutions and successful project outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare civil design plans including grading, drainage, utilities, and paving
  • Develop technical reports, construction documents, and permitting submittals
  • Coordinate with project managers, municipalities, and external consultants
  • Support construction-phase services and respond to technical inquiries
  • Apply engineering judgment and problem-solving to support project delivery

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or actively pursuing licensure
  • 3–7+ years of civil design experience, ideally in land development
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
