CPH is seeking a talented Project Engineer (EIT/junior-level) to join their dynamic and collaborative team with a focus on new project delivery!

This role is open to several CPH Office Locations -

This role is open to EIT level candidates and/or recent graduates positioned for quick receipt of EIT along with junior-level candidates with 1+ year of experience supporting civil design.

Position Overview

Project Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects. This role provides innovative solutions to solve any problems, and it requires the design skills, time management and experience to perform on a variety of key deliverables. The Project Engineer has a strong understanding of engineering principles to deliver high quality standards to CPH clients. We are seeking a candidate who brings a level of expertise working with clients in the retail sector.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions for projects.
  • Create and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Monitor progress of projects and make adjustments as needed to ensure proper completion.
  • Leading design and preparation of plans, specifications, and calculations.
  • Work with senior staff to identify potential project risks and develop modification strategies if needed.
  • Ensures that all aspects of the project's safety comply with regulations and quality standards.
  • Prepares and maintain project documentation, including reports, design changes, schedules, and status updates.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to upper managements and clients.
  • This role will work under the supervision of a licensed PE supporting a number of deliverables for our clients and ensuring quality is a primary focus at all phases of project execution from concept to final delivery.
What You'll Need:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is highly desired for this position
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software's platforms
  • ICPR, AutoCAD/Civil3D, WaterCAD, and WaterGEMS experience is a plus
  • Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets
  • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines
  • Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related focus
  • Entry-level/recent graduates and/or junior-level candidates eligible
  • EIT highly desired and/or ability to quickly acquire post start
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles specific to retail projects
