Job Title: Project Engineer - Construction

Job Description

The Project Engineer supports the successful delivery of a large-scale federal construction project by managing and tracking project documentation, coordinating with project stakeholders, and maintaining accurate records. This role focuses on submittals, RFIs, closeout documentation, and administrative project controls while utilizing construction management software and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers systems. The position offers a hands-on, onsite experience at Fort McCoy, WI within a small, family-oriented company environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track project submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with project closeout documentation and turnover packages to ensure a smooth transition at project completion.
  • Maintain organized, accurate project records and ensure all documentation is up to date and properly filed.
  • Coordinate daily with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to support project delivery.
  • Support project reporting and administrative project controls, including status updates and documentation logs.
  • Learn and utilize U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project software and systems to manage project documentation and workflows.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and documenting project meetings, including distributing meeting minutes and tracking follow-up items.
  • Ensure all project documentation complies with contract requirements, project standards, and applicable guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve documentation issues or gaps in information.
  • Contribute to maintaining a structured, efficient documentation process in a fast-paced construction environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $43.27/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
