Job description

Position Title: Project Engineer
This is an opportunity to accelerate your construction career with an employee-owned design-build contractor that delivers large-scale commercial, educational, manufacturing, and warehouse projects across the country. As a Project Engineer, you'll gain hands-on exposure to every phase of the construction process while working alongside experienced project leaders on projects valued from $5 million to $30 million. You'll play a critical role in project coordination, documentation, scheduling, and field support while developing the skills necessary to advance into project management and leadership positions. Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000+ / Year DOE
Responsibilities:
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
  • Support project buyouts and procurement activities
  • Coordinate project schedules and milestone tracking
  • Assist with field operations and superintendent support
  • Work with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
  • Support change order administration and project controls
  • Maintain accurate project records and reporting
  • Travel to job sites at least twice a month for 2-3 days

Requirements:
  • 0-6 years of commercial construction experience
  • Experience with ground-up construction projects
  • Experience working for a general contractor preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Tilt-up or precast construction experience
  • Education construction experience
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Estimating or preconstruction experience
