Join our dynamic construction management firm in New York City as a Project Engineer and play a key role in delivering impactful public projects ranging from $10M to $500M. You'll gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, and CMiC, while supporting project execution and compliance. We're looking for detail-oriented, motivated professionals familiar with MWBE and local hiring requirements who want to grow into leadership roles such as Assistant Project Manager and beyond. About the Role

As a Project Engineer, you will support our project teams in the successful delivery of public construction projects ranging from $10M to $500M. Reporting to a Superintendent, this role provides exposure to all facets of project execution and is a strong steppingstone toward Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager positions. You will gain hands-on experience with leading construction management software and contribute to impactful projects that improve NYC communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Superintendent and project team with daily coordination of field and office activities.
  • Track schedules, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and meeting documentation.
  • Assist with subcontractor communication and compliance tracking, including MWBE participation and local hiring requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure documentation is organized in Procore, CMiC, or other platforms.
  • Monitor project progress and flag potential issues to the Superintendent and project team.
  • Coordinate logistics, procurement, and field operations to support smooth project delivery.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and client-facing meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Preferred 1-3 years of experience in construction management, project coordination, or a related role.
  • Proficiency with construction software tools: Procore, Primavera P6, CMiC (or similar platforms).
  • Familiarity with NYC compliance standards, MWBE requirements, and local hiring practices.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
