Job description

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the oversight and successful completion of multiple concurrent small-scale to large-scale projects, ensuring consistency with company strategies, commitments, and goals. The PM will provide solutions to the client while working with diverse and potentially remote project teams. The PM oversees all phases of a project and is responsible for project performance through effective management of project constraints, including scope, timeline, and budget. The PM will report status updates to stakeholders on a weekly basis and conduct a retrospective at the close of projects to demonstrate potential process improvements and outline constraint metrics. The PM will also collaborate with other PMs to maximize efficiencies and skillset utilization. 

Work Environment:

  • Location:  NV5 Regional Office in Corvallis, OR
  • This position requires working in an office setting in front of a computer; there is no fieldwork component to this job. 
  • Travel <10% of the time

  • 1+ years’ experience in project coordination and leading teams 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, geography, GIS, science, or engineering program 
  • Master’s degree or higher 
  • Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional(GISP)
  • 4+ years’ experience in a hydrographic/geophysical survey environment and/or possessing a marine environmental background  
  • 2+ years’ experience in project management and leading teams
  • Risk Management Experience 
  • Experience with change-management processes
  • Experience working with GIS software packages
  • Experience working with software development
