About the role
We are looking for a Project Engineer located near our office in Orlando, FL or Remote.
In this role you will perform audio, video, and control engineering functions as required to support the sales, design, delivery, and support of custom audiovisual systems. The Project Engineer's primary responsibility is the technical delivery of audiovisual solutions during a client engagement.
What you'll do
  • Travel as required to perform site inspections, commissioning, programming, documentation and training related to the installation of these systems.
  • Provide peer reviews of system designs prior to proposal delivery.
  • Produce, maintain, and complete test plans and quality assurance checklists throughout the duration of a project.
  • Complete or oversee project device configuration - including but not limited to audio processors, automation controllers, media servers, AVoIP systems, video processors, and media endpoints.
  • Upon project completion, provide as-built documentation, user guides, and runbooks.
  • Travel regularly to job sites to perform inspections, commission systems, and conduct user training.
  • Stay up to date on the latest manufacturer trainings and certifications.
  • Collaborate with Electrosonic Solutions Designers during the deployment process to ensure that design intent is understood.
  • Collaborate with Electrosonic Project Manager to ensure that deadlines and deliverables are being met.

Qualifications
Required Qualification
  • A technical degree (or equivalent work experience) in a related field.
  • 2+ years as an audiovisual engineer or 6+ years in other audiovisual roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to interface with creative clients and high-level executives.
  • Computer literacy with fluency in MS Word and Excel.
  • A working knowledge of audiovisual technology, show control systems, and media networks.
  • Good organization skills, flexibility, and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
  • AVIXA CTS and CTS-I Certification
  • Working knowledge of software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms such as Pixera, Q-SYS, and ISAAC.

Salary based on experience: $70,000-90,000 yearly
Travel: 50-75% of the year.
