Job Description: Description: Summary The Project Engineer directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. As a Project Engineer, the individual works under the technical and administrative supervision of a Project Manager. He/she may work under the technical supervision of a Senior Project Manager or Principal Engineer. He/she will receive technical guidance on unusual or complex projects, and supervisory approval on proposed plans for engineering projects. The employee will be subject to random screening as part of Eustis Engineering’s alcohol and drug use testing program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Project Engineer duties include the following. Others may be assigned.Plans and implements engineering projects including defining the project philosophy, activities, milestones, and staff requirements according to the client’s requirements.Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project.Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.Identifies project staffing requirements and coordinates staffing with supporting organization managers.Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables.Assigns and oversees project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, project design, preparation of technical documents, etc.Reviews project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, client contract requirements, and related specifications.Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design problems.Directs integration of technical activities.Prepares interim and completion project reports.Interfaces with clients to provide project status reports and ensure client needs are met.Provides status and progress reports to client, project team, and upper management.
