Job description

Title: Project Engineer

Supervisor: Project Manager

Department: Construction

FLSA Status: Exempt / Salaried

Summary/Objective

As a Project Engineer, you will apply your knowledge and skills to support various construction projects to meet the needs of our company and clients.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborates with the Superintendents and Project teams to appropriately staff all project positions
  • Analyzes and interprets field information through frequent interactions with the field in all scopes of work being performed
  • Quality Control - Track job/work progress
  • Collaborate with design team and other key team members to deliver exceptional results
  • Coordinate and partner with subcontractors
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Coordinate between contract drawings and submittal drawings
  • Ensure that all projects and deliverables are completed properly within the scope of contract
  • Prepare requests for information to vendors and subcontractors for services and supplies
  • Act as the liaison between the General Contractor and our vendors

Competencies and Basic Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Civil, mechanical, electrical or related degrees required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • A minimum of three years of related construction experience is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of project management.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance (for applicable project sites) as necessary.
  • Must be willing to work between multiple worksites and possess a valid Guam drivers license.
