Job description

Senior Civil Transportation Engineer

Founded in 1973, DJ&A is a multidisciplinary professional services consulting firm with office locations in Montana, Colorado, Washington, South Dakota, New Mexico, and Nevada. Our team of more than 180 professionals works across the country to deliver a diverse range of engineering, environmental survey, mapping, landscape architecture, and planning projects for federal, state, local, tribal, and private clientele.

DJ&A is seeking a full-time Senior Transportation Engineer with 10 to 20 years of relevant experience,

Preferred project experience with:

  • Preparation of roadway construction documents for all types of roadway projects, including arterial, rural, interstate, and other.
  • Project Management and Design Experience on New Mexico Department of Transportation Projects is desired.
  • Project Management and Design Experience on County and City Transportation projects within New Mexico is desired.
  • Experience in marketing of roadway projects in New Mexico is desired.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project management for the preparation of construction documents for transportation projects.
  • Team lead for marketing of transportation projects for the NMDOT, New Mexico Department of Transportation, and local county and city agencies.
  • Will be working with design engineers to develop the required construction documents. Effective communication skills are essential as you will be coordinating efforts between agencies, our local team, and others within the company via online communication.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineers License in Civil Engineering.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to travel to various project sites.
  • Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.

Salary and Benefits

  • Wage: $40-$55 per hour, depending on experience.
