Our core values are the foundation that make us successful for ourselves, our customers and the planet. Albemarle is hiring for a Project Engineer/Manager - Corporate Engineering in Pasadena, TX. This position will be in-office.

What you will do Lead and manage CAPEX manufacturing projects up to $2.5MM from concept through start-up, ensuring alignment with safety, cost, schedule, and operability goals Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define project scope, priorities, and deliverables, and secure alignment throughout the project lifecycle Maintain quality and timeliness of safety activities and ensure strong safety leadership and visible field presence Coordinate internal and external resources, including engineering, procurement, and construction services, to successfully deliver projects Lead development, review, and execution of technical documentation, ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards Manage project controls, including cost forecasting, change management, and schedule performance Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Corporate Engineering to enhance project delivery and efficiency What you bring Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work/military experience Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry, including at least 5 years in project engineering/management Strong knowledge of project controls, cost structures, and contracting strategies Experience with SAP project module and related transactions Ability to evaluate engineering and construction deliverables and drive project alignment across stakeholders It'd be great if you also have: Advanced engineering degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP) Additional experience managing EPC projects or leveraging external service providers Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams Knowledge of constructability reviews, productivity measurement, and construction planning Demonstrated ownership and accountability for delivering complex projects Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced environment Benefits of joining Albemarle Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits package A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally We are partners to one another in pioneering new ways to be better for ourselves, our teams, and our communities.
