The Opportunity

ZE Power Engineering (ZEPE) is an innovative industry leading company that provides engineering services to the electric utility industry. We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our project management team! This is a great career development opportunity to expand your knowledge of electric utility systems while working as part of a team at a fast-growing company.

Responsibilities & Duties
The Project Manager is required to perform a range of tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Manage schedules, progress updates and reports
  • Manage project control support, client support and corporate services
  • Manage the engineering design and project administration in all projects under a given portfolio
  • Provide support to the Project Management Team in the successful execution of projects
  • Manage other tasks as directed by project management team
  • Participate actively in project proposals and budgeting
  • Organize and coordinate project team meetings
  • Develop process flow charts and process optimization
  • Manage individual projects
  • Manage project coordinators at specific tasks
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
  • Manage project reports for management, clients, or others
  • Compile and submit project close-outs
  • Develop and organize training for new project coordinators
  • Coordinate project activities among clients, contractors, suppliers, associates and team members

Qualifications & Skills

  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills thoughtful leadership with the ability to adapt style as suits the situation/individual(s)
  • Track record of successful project delivery using cross functional teams and employing Project Management best practices
  • Track record of managing multiple projects in parallel

Education & Experience

  • A university degree in a related field, such as Engineering, Construction Management, Contract Administration, Business Administration, or other from an accredited institution is desirable
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management
  • Experience working in utility and telecommunication industry for medium to large size organizations

Nice to Have

  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Experience in a variety of different delivery methodologies and project delivery frameworks
  • Strong interest to develop in a fast-growing team supporting capital projects across company
