Job description

FlatironDragados Canada is an industry leader in large scale transportation - roads and bridges, aviation, resliency protection, dams and reservoirs, rail and transit and more. We are seeking a talented and experienced Junior Field Coordinator Co-op to join the Surrey Langley Skytrain Project in Surrey, BC.


  • Ensure compliance with the standards of construction designs, plans and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with the budget or project
  • Prepare work breakdown structures, quantity takeoffs, and requests for quotes
  • Participate in preliminary and final cost estimates
  • Prepare the repors, sketches (related with the scope of work) needed to fulfill the requirements of the contract or according to the British Columbia standards
  • Track of progress billing, cost reports, inventory and quantity tracking
  • Assist in completing performance monitoring for ongoing operations
  • Assist the project engineering staff and maintaining project schedules
  • Support monthly and weekly progress reporting for client submissions
  • Support daily and weekly cost tracking and analysis
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with clients in order to define their needs; explain technical information, concepts or study results
  • Assist the project manager and construction team when help is needed
  • Perform all other related tasks that will help complete the project

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering or relevant practices
  • Enrolled in an official co-op program
  • Experience in construction and civil engineering is considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Ability to pay attention to details
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Note:  Primary work location is the Project office with some field work involved
