Product Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing products to meet customer needs and company goals. Their duties typically include collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting testing and analysis, ensuring product quality, and supporting product lifecycle management. They often work on improving product functionality, features, and manufacturing processes. will coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product launches, optimize production processes, and maintain quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and develop new products and improve existing products based on customer feedback and market research.

· Conduct feasibility studies, prototype development, and testing to validate product designs.

· Collaborate with manufacturing to optimize production processes and ensure product quality.

· Analyze product performance and identify areas for improvement.

· Maintain detailed documentation of product specifications, design changes, and testing results.

· Support troubleshooting and resolution of product issues post-launch.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

· Develop and manage detailed NPI plans, schedules, and timelines.

· Perform design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews and provide feedback.

· Serve as a point of contact between engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

· Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives related to new products.

· Coordinate and support pilot production runs and initial high-volume production.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Create Presentations to review with High management team.

· Complete improvement projects, as necessary.

· Work with the support departments to drive results.

· Follow 6s procedures.

· Interact with Toolroom and Maintenance Departments on equipment and tool repair and development of new equipment and tools to sustain quality.

· Attend daily huddles and other meetings to ensure smooth flow of communication.

· Follow safety policies and procedures. Attending regularly scheduled safety meetings.


What We’re Looking For 

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.

· At least one year of experience in product development, design, or engineering.

· Proven experience in manufacturing process development and optimization, preferably in a high-volume production environment.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Knowledge of CAD/CAM software, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

· Strong understanding of product development and production processes.

· Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects.

· Effective communication and organizational skills

· Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with project management and Agile methodology.

· Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.

· Familiarity with regulatory standards relevant to the industry.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual base for this position is reasonably expected to be between $75,000 and $82,000.  Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance,  vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with up to 5% company match of eligible contributions, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid vacation time, paid holidays per year, and one paid volunteer day off per year.
